bennetts lane big band

the bennetts land big band formed in 2001 with the aim of developing a forum for contemporary compositions for extended jazz ensemble. the band now has an extensive repertoire of original compositions from composers within the band, and occasionally commissions works from writers beyond the ensemble. the blbb has performed with featured artists including satoko fujii (JPN) and gian slater (AUS). the band plays on the first monday of every month at bennetts lane, but will be on temporary hiatus from may to september this year
