ball/magnusson/talia trio
eugene and guitar guru stephen magnusson formalized their trio collaborations in 2000 with argentinean drummer sergio beresovsky. their performances throughout australia and switzerland culminated in a recording for a.b.c. radio which was released independently in 2001 as ‘healing songs’.
with steve taking up permanent residence in melbourne and sergio remaining in zurich, joe talia (city city city, adam simmons’ toy band, murphy’s law) has generously brought his wit and infinite musicianship to the group, and is now an integral member of the ensemble’s dynamic interplay.
the trio’s performance seemed to weave a complete spell on the
audience.
